Watch Band Size Guide

Explainer image, based on the instructions below, showing how to measure your watch so you can choose the correct strapChoosing the correct band/strap size is essential for both fit and style. Follow these simple steps to find the perfect Holsta strap for your watch.

For Standard Watches (With Spring Bar Lugs):

1. Measure the Lug Width:

Look at the gap between the lugs on your watch case — this is where the band/strap fits in. Use a ruler or digital caliper to measure the inside distance between the lugs in millimeters (mm). Alternatively, measure the width of your current band/strap at the end where it attaches to the watch face, excluding pins.

2. Select the Right Size Strap:

Holsta offers straps in the following lug widths:

  • 20mm
  • 22mm

Choose the size that matches your lug width exactly for a secure and comfortable fit.

For Apple Watches:

1. Measure the Case or Check the Case Size on the Back of Your Watch:

Look at the writing on the back of your Apple Watch case — it will show something like 41mm, 45mm, etc, which tells you the case size.

Alternatively, you can measure the watch face from top to bottom in millimeters (mm), using a ruler or digital caliper, to find out the case size.

2. Match Your Size to Our Adapters:

We offer Apple Watch-compatible straps with precision-fit adapters for the following case sizes:

  • 38mm / 40mm / 41mm (all use the same strap)
  • 42mm / 44mm / 45mm / 49mm (all use the same strap)

⚠️ Note: Apple Watch sizes are based on the case, not the lug width — but don’t worry, our straps are pre-fitted with the correct adapters for each size group.
